Intro

(Proverbs 30:5 [KJV]) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

The word Gospel means the word of God which is the king james bible for english speaking people.

Another gospel is any other english version of the word of God than the king james bible. Modern versions like the NIV and the ESV are another gospel.

Scripture

But searching for the word gospel in the scripture and looking at the context seem to indicate that the word gospel means gods word?

(Romans 10:15-17 [KJV])
 [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
 [16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
 [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

(II Corinthians 4:1-3 [KJV])
 [1] Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
 [2] But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
 [3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

(II Timothy 2:8-9 [KJV])
 [8] Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
 [9] Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

We can see that God through the scripture seems to define the gospel as the word of God.

Summary

The word Gospel means the word of God which is the written word of God, genesis to revelation, new testament above the old. It is the AV1611. I believe God can also speak to us personally, individually, once we are saved, via the holy ghost which the believer is given when he/she is eternally saved. That can also be seen as the word of God, when God speaks to us.

And Jesus Christ is the living Word of God.

(Revelation of John 19:13 [KJV]) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
